Terms of Sale & Virtual Goods Policy
Effective 2026-10-07 · applies to every purchase in the JM Interactive worlds (currently: Founder Homesteads, $1, and Estate Homesteads, $5, in the Florida world) · operated by JM Interactive, Panama City, Florida.
1. What you are buying
A Homestead is a limited license to a named parcel of virtual land in the Florida game world: a generated home in your chosen style, your approved homestead name on its plate, and a home spawn point for your account. It is a digital item in a game. It is not real estate, not currency, not an investment, and it has no value outside the game. Parcels are limited (24 founder parcels at launch); when they are gone, they are gone.
2. How purchase and delivery work
- Payment is processed entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout pages. JM Interactive never sees or stores your card details; Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself.
- After paying, you submit a claim (account email + Stripe receipt email + homestead name + style). Delivery is not automatic: Michael personally reviews each claim — matching the receipt and reading the name — usually within one day. Your homestead appears in-world on your next signed-in visit after approval.
- One homestead per account. Claims are matched by email, so use the same email at Stripe and in-game.
3. Age rule
Buyers must be 13 or older, or have a parent or guardian complete the purchase with them. The purchase form requires this attestation. Our worlds are built to be family-safe, and we review every homestead name by hand against that standard.
4. Refunds, and if something goes wrong
- Cooling-off: if your claim has not been approved yet, email us and we will cancel it; request the refund through Stripe's link in your receipt email (or tell us and we will walk you through it).
- Approved but broken: if your homestead was approved and does not appear in-world, or appears wrong, contact us first — we fix it. If we cannot fix it, we refund you.
- Server downtime: temporary outages do not erase deeds. Your purchase record is durable and your homestead returns when the service returns. We do not refund for short outages, because nothing is lost — but we will always tell you the truth about what happened.
- Permanent shutdown: if JM Interactive ever shuts down the Florida world or the whole service for good, we will — at our choice, announced in advance where possible — refund your purchase price or transfer the homestead to a successor world.
- We are a one-person studio. There is no automated refund machine, but there is a real person reading every email: [email protected].
5. House rules, moderation, and revocation
- Homestead names must stay family-safe; Michael approves, renames (with you), or refuses names at his discretion — this is a world children play in.
- A homestead can be revoked for violating these terms or the community rules (harassment, cheating, illegal content, attempting to resell). Revocation for rule violations is not refunded; revocation for our convenience follows section 4 (shutdown/refund).
- No resale, no transfer, no gambling: you may not sell, trade, auction, or gift your homestead, or use it in any real-money scheme. The license is tied to your account only.
- Generated/AI-architected home designs are unique to your deed but are game content — we may adjust visual quality, art style, and generation over time. The promise is a unique home in your kit style on your parcel, not a specific frozen model.
6. Free-to-play promise
The Florida world and everything needed to play it remain free. Homesteads are cosmetic, social, and convenience (a home spawn) — never power. Nothing that affects fairness in play is for sale, and this policy does not change that.
7. Service "as available"
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available": we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for that purchase. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under Florida or applicable consumer-protection law.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the effective date above changes with them, and material changes get a note on the news page. Continuing to own a homestead after a change means the new terms apply.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and they supplement the site-wide Terms and Privacy Policy for purchases. Questions, refunds, cancellations, or complaints — one inbox, one human:
